Tension in town as three Cows died after consuming poisonous substance

Tension prevailed in nearby Bassi Pathana town due to the death of three stray cows allegedly poisoned by some miscreants to create communal tension. As soon as the news spread in the town like wild fire, the people in large number started assembling on the spot. They took out a protest march in the town and submitted a memorandum to DS Johal SDM and Sukhwinder Singh DSP to bring the culprits to book at the earliest.
Ramesh Gupta President Municipal Council cum Gaushala Bassi Pathana alleged that just to disturb the peace and to create communal tension in the town last night some miscreants offered some poisonous substance to the stray cows and after consuming that the cows died. He said that the morning walkers noticed three dead cows near transformer and the miscreants must have put the substance just to mislead that they might have died due to electric shock. He said the vetnary doctor Pankaj Chawla said the cows died after consuming poisonous substance.
He demanded strict action against the miscreants otherwise they will observe complete bandh on 20th June and block the traffic in protest, if culprits are not arrested.
Meanwhile Rajkamal, President Ramlila Committee and social worker demanded that Govt. should enact strict law against all those, who desert their cattle on the roads after using them.
SDM and DSP told that it is unfortunate incident and the administration will investigate the matter seriously on the murder like crime and hoped to arrest the culprits soon.
Bharat Bhushan Verma Advocate, Prem Malhotra, Shyam Sundar Jargar, Sanjeev Sachdeva, Ashok Gautam, Bhushan Setia, Rajiv Kumar, Rajan Bhalla, Suneeet Kaplish and Arun Pathak all social workers condemned the incident.
