AP Government plans to hold land resurvey
Amravati, June 26, 2019: The Andrhra Pradesh (AP) Government has planned to conduct land re-survey with an aim to solve lakhs of land dispute permanently.
According to a report published by Hansindia.com , Revenue Minister P Suhash Chandra Bose revealed the vision of the government at the Collectors’ Conference. He said that around 4 lakh applications pertaining to land disputes are pending with the government.
It is expected that the land resurvey will totally settle the problems at field level. However, the shortage of staff may be a challenge to implement the plan.
There had been no complete land survey after the Independence and the land owners are holding the rights by obtaining titles in the absence of proper land records.
It was said that during the survey, the status of land documents and physical position would be checked simultaneously and it might be a great relief to the people of the State.
