Service to incorporate personal details of actual land owner in revenue records started in Fazilka: Deputy Commissioner
Fazilka, July 19, 2019: In a bid to completely eliminate the practices of fraud and forgery in sale and purchase of property, the District Fazilka Administration has started the service of incorporating personal details of the actual land owner in revenue records through the Sewa and FardKendras.
- To shun the practices of fraud and forgery in sale and purchase of property
- Land owners can avail the service through Sewa and FardKendras
Disclosing this here, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manpreet Singh Chhatwal said that due to the increase in property prices, the cases of cheating related to the sale and purchase of land are on rise. The victims of such forgeries are mostly NRI Punjabi, Army men and families residing in far-flunged areas.
"In such a purchase, the person involved becomes a bona-fide purchaser, after which long legal process starts and original land owner or buyers have to suffer unnecessary mental distress and financial exploitation", he said.
Mr. Chhatwal said that under this service, the telephone number, E-mail address and Aadhar card of the original land owner will be feed in land records on his desire.
He said that to avail this facility, the land owner will have to submit the necessary proofs along with prescribed proforma and Rs.1000 as PLRS charges at the counter in Sewa and FardKendras, after which his case will be sent to the concerned Circle Revenue Officer (Tehsildar), who will forward it to halqaPatwari. The Patwari will verify the documents and incorporate the personal details of the actual land owner in the Rojnamacha. Simultaneously, he will show the references in Jamabandi too.
Mr. Chhatwal said that the Punjab Government has partially amended the provisions contained in paragraph 7.28 of Punjab Land Records Manual to initiate this pro-people service. He appealed the people to take advantage of the facility to avoid frivolous practices and long legal procedures.
