MBBS, BDS admissions: 90% NRI quota seats remain vacant
Faridkot, July 20, 2019: Only 32 of the 316 seats under the NRI quota in MBBS and BDS courses in private and government colleges in the state were filled during the counselling session held at the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS).
“The main reason behind less number of students opting for NRI quota is high tuition fee. Besides, the students have to pay many other expenses during their five-year course, making it hugely expensive,” said Dr Raj Bahadur, vice-chancellor, BFUHS.
