UNITED SIKHS establish Humanitarian Relief Camp for flood survivors in Assam
New Delhi, July 20, 2019: United Sikhs volunteers has set up a humanitarian relief camp at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Assam to offer refuge, medical assistance and warm meals for survivors, on account of record flooding after heavy downpours of rain.
In the recent floods around 100 people have died and to date more than 2,000 rising tide.
Animals are also suffering from the floods as vast areas were submerged around Kaziranga, Manas National Parks and Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary forcing the wild animals to move towards the highlands in Karbi Analog Hills.
After suffering so much loss and devastataion, we are honored to be able to work with the survivors and help bring a smile pack to their faces said Parminder Singh United Sikhs.
They have made an appeal that any flood survivors who are experiencing high fever, headache, bleeding muscle pain, chills or vomiting, can come to the United Sikhs Relief Camp at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Assam for immediate medical treatment free of charge.
