Abrogation of article 370 will help in establishment of Industry in J&K which will create new job opportunities for the youth: national general secretary, BJP Avinash Rai Khanna
Chandigarh, August 16, 2019: “Abrogation of article 370 is an historic step by Government of India and it will bring stability and prosperity in the lives of people of J&K” said Avinash Rai Khanna, national general secretary, BJP. He was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of first batch of Standard First Aid Training Program started by Chandigarh University in association with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS). Avinash Rai Khanna who is also Vice-Chairman of IRCS congratulated the first batch of 60 student volunteers who would undergo 3 day training program at university campus under the guidance of trainers from Indian Red Cross Society. Chandigarh University has set a target of training 1000 student volunteers under the First Aid Training Program by 2020. Punjab Red Cross Society Secretary P.C.Talwar, Chancellor CU Satnam Singh Sandhu and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. R.S.Bawa were also present on the occasion.
The student volunteers of Chandigarh University also collected a sum of Rs. 50,000 which they handed over to Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, Vice-Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society.
While delivering his address, Avinash Khanna said, “The entire nation is welcoming the step taken by Government of India to abolish the article 370 and very soon the people of valley will also understand the importance of taking such decision as it will open new opportunities for them”. Replying to the question that when normalcy will return to J&K, he said, “Life is normal in Jammu and the government is keeping a strict eye on the situation of valley”. In coming day all the restrictions on the communication will be eased off and the situation will be totally under the control, he added.
“The Government has been successful in isolating Pakistan on global front and no country is giving support to it on the Kashmir issue” added the BJP National General Secretary. He said that he is shocked on the reaction of the Congress party who is using the same words as the leaders in Pakistan are using and maintained that no party in India should be surprised on the Government decision as it was always a part of election manifesto of BJP to abrogate article 370.
While giving his details on his new role as J&K assembly poll in-charge, he said, “My mission is to help BJP form a strong government in the state as there is ample support for the party which is clearly visible in the panchayat elections held recently”.
While talking to the student volunteers, he said, “The importance of First Aid Trained Personal is ample as it can save precious human lives which are lost due to delay in getting treatment”. It is an contribution towards society by the youth that they can help the people in distress which is an unique learning experience in itself that they will never forget, he added.
