Chandigarh, August 22:
Exhorting them to follow Lord Sri Krishna’s philosophy of universal love, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has appealed to the people to vow to break the barriers of hatred and divisiveness on the eve of Sri Krishna Janamashtami.
In his Janamashtmi eve greeting, the Chief Minister underlined the relevance of Sri Krishna’s ideology in the prevailing environment of discord, which has divided the people on the lines of caste and community. He appealed to the people to imbibe and follow the teaching of Sri Krishna, as epitomized in 'Srimad Bhagwad Geeta', to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and universal brotherhood.
People not just in India but across the world today stand alienated from one another due to differences created by mankind, said the Chief Minister, stressing the need to celebrate Janamashtmi in a spirit of peace and camaraderie.
Let us emulate the philosophy of Lord Krishna to usher in a new era of happiness and amity, said the Chief Minister.
