PV Sindhu creates History in World Badminton Championship
Become first Indian to clinch Gold Medal in World Championship

Indian Ace Badminton Player PV Sindhu become World Champion. She became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the World Badminton championship at Basel (Switzerland) with convincing victory in Final. Sindhu beat Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara by 21-7 & 21-7 in Final. With her victory in less than 30 minutes First time National Anthem Of India Played in World Badminton Championship
Earlier in 2016 at Rio Olympics She became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal and one of the two Indian badminton players to ever win an Olympic medal, the other being Saina Nehwal.
This is third final of PV Sindhu in World championship and she tasted victory first time. So far PV Sindhu won four medals in World Championship. She won Bronze Medal in 2013 and 2014 and Silver Medal in 2017 and 2018. Besides She won many medals in International Sports Arena including Two Bronze Medal in Badminton’s prestigious tournament Uber Cup, One Silver and One Bronze Medal in Asian Games and One each Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal in Commonwealth Games.
24 years Old Hyderabad based PV Sindhu was honoured with Padma Shri (4th highest civilian award in India) in 2016. She also received Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award (Highest sporting honour of India) in 2015 and Arjuna Award in 2013
