Supply will be normal in remaining 10 villages in two-three days

Jalandhar, August 25,2019 : In a major relief to the marooned people of flood-hit villages in Shahkot sub-division, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has successfully restored the power supply in 11 out of 21 villages of the district on Sunday.
Divulging the details, The deputy commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that with the water receded in these 11 villages, the employees of PSPCL rushed in their villages and the power supply restored successfully.
He said that the villages including Gatti Raipur, Gatti Bakhsh, Kamaalpur, Jakkapur, Kakkar Kalan, Fatehpur, Nawan Pind Khalewal, Kang Khurd, Jalalpur, Sardarwala and Kotha.
The deputy commissioner said that the electricity will also be restored in the remaining 10 villages as the water gets receded.
He said that every effort was being made to ensure that people in marooned villages was given maximum relief soon.
He said that reports of all loses to electrical infrastructure such as electricity meters, wires, poles and transformers, are also being made and a detailed report will be sent to the government.
