DC DIRECTED ANIMALS HUSBANDRY DEPARTMENT TO ENSURE DISPOSAL OF DEAD CATTLE SCIENTIFICALLY

JALANDHAR, August 25,2019: The district administration on Sunday started scientifically disposal of dead cattle due to floods in various villages of the district.
On Sunday morning, the mobile teams on boats led by SDMs Mr Paramvir Singh and Ms Charumita
which have been put in the flood-hit villages brought the dead cattle and were disposed in the supervision of experts from animal husbandry in village Nall.
The deputy commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the with the flood-water started receding in the village, our prime duty was to dispose the dead cattle soon as the stench was started
coming and becoming unbearable.
Sharma said that the flood wise village teams have been moving to house to house to bring our the dead cattle to check the spread of any epidemic.
He said that SDMs Mr Paramvir Singh and Ms Charumita have been tasked to ensure the disposal of the dead cattle as soon as possible.
He said that we have inputs about the deaths of around 60 cattle and all dead cattle will be disposed scientifically.
The deputy commissioner said that once the water recedes, the dead cattle will be brought out on tractor-trolleys.
He told that the Punjab Government would provide all kind of facilities to the flood affected people.
