Swachta Pakhwada : NCC cadets organize Cycle Rally from Leh to Delhi, gets warm welcome at Jalandhar
Jalandhar, September 22, 2019: Cycle Rally from Leh to New Delhi as part of Swachta Pakhwada Pan India Cycle Expedition was give a warm welcome on reaching Jalandhar from Dasuya after covering 56 km.
15 SD Boy cadets of 12 PB Bn NCC Hoshiarpur along with an officer handed over the baton of the rally to the cadets in the evening in the presence of CO2 PB(G) BN NCC Jalandhar, Col Jasbir Singh and Group Commander Jalandar Group and Asstt Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh.
These cadets covered 62 km by cycle and spread the message of Swachta. They interacted with the local population. Nukkad Natak was also organized during the baton exchange ceremony.
Young cadets remained the centre of interest as they moved along the planned route from the centre of the city towards Ludhiana. Refreshments were served after covering about 20 km. Though there was a lot of sweat, the heat and the humidity did not dampen the spirits of the cadets.
This chain will continue till rally reaches Delhi, the heart of the hub of every major activity in India.
