Fatehgarh Sahib, October 17, 2019: The Municipal Council Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib launched the campaign to capture stray cattle in the town. A team of council officials, employees accompanied by councillors captured stray cattle and after loading them in mini tempo shifted to Govt. Gaushala at village Galodian. The process to capture the cattle continued till late night and the operation was supervised by Mandeep Kaur Nagra wife of Kuljit Singh Nagra Advisor to CM.
Narinder Kumar Prince Councilor cum former Vice President of council said that the menace of stray cattle was increasing day by day and causing many accidents and even two persons have lost their lives, so Mandeep Kaur Nagra wife of MLA decided to launch the campaign to capture the stray cattle to save the lives of citizens and the council employees, NGOs were involved in this campaign.
Meanwhile Harpreet Lalli, President Shiv Sena Punjab, who sat on hunger strike on 9th September and ended the strike after assurance from DC that within a month all the stray cattle will be captured, has again given a memorandum to DC that from 18th October he will start fast unto death as no stray cattle has been captured. Bhartiya Kissan Union ( Sidhupur) and district Bar Association has extended support to his hunger strike.
