Reliance Jio that has been consistently adding highest number of subscribers in Haryana continued its lead in August too, adding 2.20 lakh subscribers according to the latest subscriber data report released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The combined entity of Vodafone Idea Limited meanwhile lost 1.20 lakh subscribers in the state in the same month.
Jio’s feat of acquiring 85.96 lakh subscribers in the Haryana telecom market which makes for 30.55% of the customer market share (CMS) within three years of starting operations is impressive considering the fierce competition in this market. The fact that Jio has the largest true 4G network in Haryana, that reaches even the farthest corners of the state, is another plus that aids the subscriber growth trend.
Vodafone Idea Limited that has a subscriber base of 1.02 crore in Haryana has a CMS of 36.33%, BSNL with a subscriber base of 49.90 lakh has a CMS of 17.74% while Airtel (including Tata Teleservices Ltd.) with a subscriber base of 43.27 lakh and a CMS of 15.38% is placed fourth in the state.
Airtel added 67,285 subscribers in August in Haryana, while BSNL added 12,314 subscribers according to the TRAI report.
Jio, the youngest telecom operator, has clearly established itself as the most preferred operator in the state by consistently adding the highest number of subscribers.
Nationally too, with an addition over 8.4 million subscribers in August, Jio, the fastest growing digital services company in the world, added the highest number of customers in the month, according to the TRAI report.
