- Punjab government released funds
Banga, 08 November, 2019 - With the efforts of MP Manish Tiwari, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, agreed to the long pending demand of the people to construct roads from Behram to Mahilpur and Banga to Aur. Instructions have been given to do special repair and funds amounting to Rs 9 crore 42 lakh 80 thousand have been released.While handing over the copy of this order to the Halqa Incharge of Banga :Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki, Tiwari revealed that the repair of 10.6 km long road from Behram to Mahilpur would cost around Rs 6 crore 35 lakh. Whereas 9.10 km long road going from Banga to Aur via Sahls will cost 3 crore 7 lakh 80 thousand rupees, which amounts to a total of 9 crore 42 lakh 80 thousand rupees. He told that this will fulfill the old and important demand of the people of the region and they will be able to travel quickly and safely.
