Jalandhar, November 14, 2019: In a major gift to the students of the government schools on Children’s Day- the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today inaugurated the project of the setting of Smart Class Rooms in the district from village Mustafapur (Kartarpur) and Karari (Bhogpur).
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said that the initiative was aimed at imparting quality and hi-end education to the students studying in government schools. He said that the district the administration has spent Rs 17.90 lakh for constructing Smart classrooms in 45 government schools of the district. Mr. Sharma said these classrooms would ensure digital education and increase the learning achievements of students, enhancement of student attendance, interactive teaching and learning and focused engagement of students in the classrooms besides ensuring the overall development of the students.
He said that technology integration in education would inspire positive changes in teaching methods on an international level adding that through audio-visual presentations, students would understand exactly how the knowledge was applied in practice. He said that the step was aimed at streamlining the education system by delivering quality education. Mr. Sharma said that in these ‘Smart Classes’ Education would be imparted to the students in a practical manner along with creative activities.
The Deputy Commissioner said that it was an important project, which was aimed at upgrading the education paraphernalia of the district by delivering quality education facilities to the students. He said that this initiative would ensure that the students in the government schools get quality education on ultra-modern lines. Mr. Sharma said that this would also help in enabling the students of the government schools to compete with their peers in private schools.
Pertinently, under this project Smart class rooms has been set up at government schools in Bara Pind, Bhatnura, Bhar Singh Pura, Bundala, Chak Kalan, Heran, Daroli Kalan, Daduwal, Jandiala, Karari, Kala Bakra, Kartarpur, Patara, Kapur Pind, Kotli Than Singh, Khambra, Lasara, Government Girls Senior Secondary School and Government Senior Secondary School Lohian Khaas, Lambra, Mustafapur, Mehatpur, Malsian, Nurmahal, Nihaluwal, Patar Kalan, Phillaur, Partabpura, Adampur, Poonian, Randhawa Masanda, Rurka Kalan, Sangowal, Shankar, Sammipur, Samrai, Tehing, Ucha, Mulewal Kehra, Baghela, Kular, Khanpur Dhadda, Mesampur and Uggi.
