STF HANDS OVER CHEQUE TO MARTYR GURDEEP SINGH’S FAMILY

Jalandhar, November 21,2019 : The Special Task Force (STF) IGP RK Jaiswal on Thursday handed over a cheque of Rs 25000 as the first installment of monthly financial help to the family of martyr Gurdeep Singh of Jalandhar.
STF Cop Gurdeep Singh had attained martyrdom during an encounter with drug smugglers on October 1 this year after which each employee of the anti-drug force from Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to Constable donated their one-day salary to extend the helping hand to Gurdeep’s family.
A total amount of Rs 10, 65,000 was raised for the family and the amount was deposited into Martyrs’ Welfare Fund Bank Account which was specially opened for the cause. Each month the family will get Rs 25000 from the account.
Mr Jaiswal gave the first cheque of Rs 25000 to martyr’s father Jagjeet Singh and wife Navneet Kaur.
He said that Gurdeep had performed his duty heroically and died fighting against anti-social elements and he will live forever in their hearts.
He said that we would be indebted forever to the martyr as he laid his life for the country and us. He said that entire STF is committed to provide any kind of help to the martyr's family.
