Proactive DC initiates a project to give a facelift to Govt. offices

Hoshiarpur, 6 December 2019: Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur Isha Kalia has initiated several steps to give a facelift to Tehsil and Sub Divisional offices where ever buildings were not in good shape. Public offices are the face of the government and have a huge footfall and they need a sensitive eye to take care.
Isha Kalia is an officer with a creative mind who always looks for new stuff and new things and when you have a creative mind it doesn’t stop going. She had always proved her sensitive approach towards people’s welfare agenda.
During annual inspection of Tehsils last year, Isha Kalia found the condition of some of the buildings deplorable and in bad outlook. She decided to renovate them to give the citizens an improved and better-quality atmosphere. Funds from operation and maintence society were used to renovate the buildings.
Hoshiarpur & Garhshankar tehsil offices have been renovated in first phase.
Speaking with APS Brar, Isha Kalia told that during the inspection of Tehsils last year, I saw the condition of the offices which were not upto mark. So I decided to give them a new outlook as per the requirements of the citizens.
“We have focussed on providing comfortable sitting facilities for visitors, safe drinking water, renovated washrooms and better record keeping arrangements” disclosed Isha Kalia. We arranged funds from operation and maintence society to renovate these buildings, she added.
Walking Trail: another project from Isha Kalia
An attractive six feet wide walking trail has been built for the citizens. It is being constructed from Dhobi Ghat to Hanuman Mandir which is two thousand feet long in length. Trees have been planted on both sides to give it a beautiful look. It will be beneficial for the citizens.
Isha Kalia said “To provide a healthy environment to the citizens, we have developed a walking trail from Dhobi Ghat to Hanumandir mandir”. Walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health, just 30 minutes every day can increase fitness, strengthen bones & boost muscle power & endurance. Unlike some other forms of exercise, walking is free and doesn’t require any special equipment or training added Isha Kalia.
