Impressed with Bhagat Singh’s ideology, three youths from Bihar on cycle reach Hussainiwala
Ferozepur, December 10, 2019: Impressed by reading the ideology of Bhagat Singh, three youths – dressed like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukdev – from small village Anand Golva in Samstipur District of Bihar, aspirant to join the army, reached Hussainiwala to pay tributes at Martyr’s Memorial, carrying the message of “Save Water-Save Birds”.
The youths, who are presently pursing their degree besides getting training for joining the army, started their journey on symbolic day Constitution Day on November 26, 2019 and reached Ferozepur on the evening of December 9 after covering 1560 km in 14 days.
They were welcomed by Amit Gupta, SDM Ferozepur and Dr.Satinder Singh, National Awardee, Principal Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Gatti Rajo Ke. Amit Gupta SDM appreciated the passion of the students to serve the country by joining the Army.
Dr. Satinder Singh briefed them about the significance of Marty’s Memorial with special reference of contribution of three martyrs for the freedom of our country, to the three youths – Sushan Singh dressed with photogoraph pained on their T-Shirt as Bhagat Singh, Swam Kumar as Rajguru and Barjesh Kumar as Sukhdev.
After paying floral tributes to the martyrs and releasing a pair of birds brought with them, the three youths pledged to visit Hussiniwala on 23rd March on Martyrdom Day every year, with patriotic slogans.
Later, they also paid a visit to border village Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Gatti Rajo Ke where they were welcomed by the school staff and students. Addressing the students, they shared the importance of keeping a balance of water and nature and encourage the students to create a sense of patriotism.
In the evening, the three youths aspirant to serve the country by joining the army, have interaction with the jawans of Border Security Force at Joint Check Post at Hussainiwala border before joining the Retreat Ceremony performed everyday between the jawans of BSF and rangers of Pakistan Forces.
On the occasion, school staff Sukhwinder Singh Lecturer, Rajesh Kumar, Joginder Singh, Geeta, Pritpal Singh, Davinder Kumar, Arun Kumar, Parminder Singh Sodhi, Saruchi Mehta, Vijay Bharti, Meenakshi Sharma, Suchi Jai, Baljit Kaur,Parveen Bala, Sandeepl Kumar, Mehma Kashyap were especially present.
