Fatehgarh Sahib. December.10, 2019: Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib in collaboration with Cancer Care Charitable Society will hold a massive three day free camp for cancer care on the eve of Saheedi Jor Mela at University Campus, said Dr. Prit Pal Singh Vice-Chancellor of the University after inaugurating a seminar on the effects and preventions of cancer here today.
Dr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, head of the World Cancer Care Campaign exhorted the participants to pursue a simple life and they should devote a portion of their lives to the service of humanity. He administered oath to the staff and students present at the seminar that they would be supportive of simple weddings and other simple social events and should make efforts to get rid the kitchen of the effects of all kinds of chemical sprays.
He said that various types of cancer tests will be conducted free of cost in the camp during the Shaheedi Sabha and the Sangat will be made aware of the causes and early diagnosis of cancer. He said that during the last few years, efforts are being made to bring awareness of the high level through these services under the Cancer Care Campaign in Punjab and other parts of the adjoining states.
Dr. R. K. Sharma, Dean Research, Dr. Dharminder Singh Dhillon, Dr. Shalini from Cancer Care Charitable Society and Dr. S. S. Billing also addressed.
