KHATKAR KALAN, January 27, 2020: On the 71st Republic Day a very innovative step to promote ‘Women Empowerment within the Country’ was initiated at the historical Museum of Shaheed – e – Azam Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan with launch of a special portrait prepared by Punjab & Haryana High Court Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu depicting “Empower Women for growth and development of the Nation” by the Transport Minister Smt. Razia Sultana, at Khatkar Kalan Museum, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, on 26th January 2020 along with Deputy Commissioner, Nawanshahr Mr. Vinay Bublani, Senior Superintendent of Police Smt. Alka Meena, MLA, Nawanshahr, Angad Singh, MLA Balachaur – Ch. Darshan Lal Mangupur, and other prominent personalities.
Harpreet Sandhu, stated that through this slogan “Empower Women for growth and development of the Nation” on this Republic Day, he wanted to spread a message that we all must ensure that the future for women is bright, equal, safe and rewarding. Education for girls must be made compulsory so that women can become literate to make a life for themselves. We all must also inspire women and promote the cause of social and gender equality.
This cause to promote the significance and value was appreciated by all present during the event.
