Jalandhar, January 27, 2020:Programs marking the 70th anniversary of the Indian Constitution were organized by departments all across Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar under the theme of 'Be the change and bring the change' wherein Social Activist Raghav Charan Dasa came in as the main orator and he was duly welcomed to the college by Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr GS Samra urged the students to strengthen their inner virtues for the cause of a healthy and happy nation.
Chief Orator for the program, Raghav Charan Dasa gave a powerpoint presentation along with his detailed views on being good responsible citizens of the country.
Centre for Historical Studies conducted a quiz competition competed by 8 teams under the supervision of Dr Suman Chopra, HOD History and Dr Amandeep Kaur with due assistance from Dr Karanbir Singh, Prof Suraj Bhagat and Prof Sandeep Kaur. On the same lines, the Department of Political Science and NSS Unit of the college conducted a Debate competition on the theme of CAB orchestrated by Prof Manpreet Kaur, HOD Political Science and Dr. Tarsem Singh, In-charge NSS and the same was conducted from the stage by Prof Harjit Singh.
The occasion was also observed by Prof Jasreen Kaur, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Prabh Dyal Dean Student Welfare, Prof Sanjeev Anand, Dr. Raju Sharma, Prof Anu Moom and Prof Ajitpal Singh. The finale was duly hosted by Dr. Manmeet Sodhi, Department of English.
