Chandigarh, January 28, 2020: More than three days after a woman PCS officer accused her senior, an IAS officer, of ‘sexual harassment’, Punjab State Women Commission Chairperson Manisha Gulati has taken suo moto notice of the matter.
Speaking to Babushahi, Gulati said she will seek a report from Government of Punjab on the issue.
“Once we get the report, we will decide on further course of action,” she told Babushahi.
According to media reports, Punjab Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh has said that the government will take action against the accused.
The victim works in the same department of which the accused, a 2012-batch officer, is the director.
The victim along with a delegation of PCS officers had met the Chief Secretary on January 24 and made a formal complaint against the IAS officer.
