Directs DC to enure safety of students by properly implementing Safe School Vahan Policy

Fazilka, February 19, 2020: Health Minister Punjab Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu, on Wednesday, said that Punjab Government is committed to uplift the standard of health facilities across the state to provide better facilities to the residents. He was here to preside over a meeting of district grievance redressal committee at District Administrative Complex.
Mr. Sidhu said that the state government has also done adequate arrangements regarding threats of Corona virus. He added that the teams with scanning equipment’s have been deputed at Mohali and Amritsar airports which are taking blood samples of foreign visitors. He said that special wards have also been built in the hospitals for the adequate treatment.
The cabinet minister said that following the directions of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the state government has heavily taken on illegal mining and drug peddlers. He said that Punjab would soon lead in all sectors especially in health as recruitment process of 58 doctors in government hospitals is in full swing.
He also directed the deputy Commissioner to strictly implement the rules and regulations of Safe School Vahan Policy to ensure the safety of the students.
On this occasion, DC Arvind Pal Singh Sandhu, MLA Fazilka Davinder Singh Ghubhaiya, MLA Jalalabaad Raminder Amwla, Sandeep Jakhar, Sukhwinder Singh Kaka Kamboj, BD Kalra among several others were also present.
