Labourer’s daughter Tania to participate in Sakura Science Competition in Japan
Ferozepur, February 24, 2020: Tania – a student of 8th class in Government School in border village Khai Pheme Ki of Ferozepur – will participate in Sakura Science Competition in Japan. Tania has been selected for her setting an example by preparing smart dustbin with her intelligence and enlightens the name of her school, parents, district and at the global level as well by her art.
Tania got the idea from the water tank connected with alarm when filled to its full capacity to designed a Dustbin with sensors to send a message to the driver to collect the garbage and magnets to save the animals from swallowing the sharp-edged like scissors, blades etc. while putting their mouth in the dustbin.
Tania from a family of labour class is the only student from Punjab whose name has been included in the list of students from different states of India, for visiting Japan by the Government of India. She got a chance to participate in the Sakura Science Match being held in ISRO and now in Japan, because of her skill to develop a Dustbin and has come to be known in the country and on foreign land as a model that is convincing everyone.
Tania said, “Keeping the Swachh Bharat Mission” in her mind, she has prepared this model and participated in various competitions at district, state and national level and because of this I got a chance to visit ISRO and meeting President of India and now to visit Sakura Science Competition”.
I give credit for this honour to my teacher and Principal who motivated me and helped me in my project. When grown-up, I would like to be a Judge for which I will work hard in my students, she added.
Satinderjit Kaur Principal and Amandeep Kaur, Science Teacher said, Tania from the very beginning is sharp and intelligent and proud of her who had brought laurels for the school and uphold good the status of girls. Rather, she is an example for the parents who ignore girls on birth.
