Chandigarh, February 25, 2020: Dr. Brijendra Pateriya, Director, Punjab Remote Sensing Centre has been elected as Vice President-Elect of Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS) for 2020-22.
ISRS, a professional body of space scientists, is giving emphasis on application of space technology for solving various types of real world problems related to resource management, environmental assessment and disaster management.
The executive council of ISRS will have six office bearers and Dr. Pateriya, first time from Punjab, will be the part of executive council as Vice President. Dr. Pateriya has a distinct vision of global thinking and futuristic approach in the new space age to contribute in science and technology for the welfare of society and institution building.
