Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defense jointly survey during Lockdown in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 22, 2020: The volunteers of Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defense under the tutelage of Charanjit Singh, Divisional Commandant, Punjab Home Guards, Ferozepur today jointly surveyed the Ferozepur City and Cantt areas during the lockdown as a precautionary measure, in the wake of Coronavirus, on the call of Prime Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commandant said, our teams are working in close liaison with the district and police administration, surveyed the entire city and cantonment area and reviewed the situation. He said our volunteers are every ready for any eventuality to fight with the challenging task to contain the spread of coronavirus.
He said, the residents have fully responded to the call for lockdown and clapping was also done at exact 5 pm for five minutes to express solidarity and gratitude towards the officials – government as well as private – in the field of health services, cleanliness and providing help to any needy persons - by risking their lives. During the lockdown period, the people moving for essential needs were also advised to take precautionary measures and also warned to be more careful in the coming days.
Present among others were – Parminder Singh Thind, Chief Warden Civil Defense, Amrit Singh Jammu, Deputy Chief Warden, Arun Kumar Sharma, Post Warden, Hari Ram Khindri Post Warden, Rajneesh Kumar, Post Warden, Rajesh Khanna, who extended cooperation during the lockdown.
