Fatehgarh Sahib. April.1, 2020: With the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Amrit Kaur Gill, Jaspal Singh Kandhari owner of Coca Cola bottling plant at Nabi Pur village today donated the ventilator for the civil hospital Fatehgarh Sahib. It is the first ventilator in the civil hospitals of the district.
Amrit Kaur Gill DC said that during the review meeting in wake of COVID threat, civil Surgeon brought to her notice that there is no ventilator in any civil hospital of Fatehgarh Sahib, which is a matter of great concern. She said as purchasing of ventilator through the government is a lengthy process; she assured the civil surgeon that she will explore the possibility of donors. She said she is thankful to Jaspal Singh kandhari owner of Coca Cola bottling plant, who heeded to her request and donated the ventilator.
Dr. N.K.Aggarwal Civil Surgeon said that he discussed with DC that there is no ventilator in the district hospitals and DC said she will explore the possibility by mobilising the donors. He said this is the first ventilator donated today and will be installed at civil hospital Fatehgarh Sahib and it will help in providing better health facilities particularly in wake of COVID-19 threat. He thanked the DC and Kandhari group for this gesture.
Meanwhile Dr. Amar Singh MP Fatehgarh Sahib, who himself is a doctor has sanctioned and released Rs.38 Lakh to the Civil Surgeon Fatehgarh Sahib for the purchase of two ventilators, two ambulances, infrared thermometers, PPE Kits, three ply masks, latex gloves, sanitizers, portable X Ray machines, oxygen cylinders including regulator, wheel chairs, stretchers, pulse oximeters, Ambu bags, multi para monitors, besides other equipment for civil hospital Fatehgarh Sahib.
