Ludhiana, April 01, 2020: Capt Sandeep Sandhu, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, today took stock of the functioning of the essential services in the Dakha assembly segment and asked the local administration and the police to ensure that supplies remain intact. He urged people to observe social distancing and avoid coming out of their homes.
Capt Sandeep has been moving around the villages to inquire about the availability of food and medicines to the needy. He emphasized the need for completely observing the lockdown while assuring that the government will leave no stone unturned to ensure supply of essential commodities to people.
He also visited the Guru Nanak Multi Specialty Hospital on Raikot road, where he interacted with the patients taking medicines for the drug de-addiction. He talked to the doctors, the staff and the patients.
Capt Sandeep appreciated the management of the de-addiction centre for providing medicines to the patients during this crisis. He stressed the need for maintaining the supplies so that the patients do not suffer for want of medicines.
