Haryana bans chewing gum till June 30
Chandigarh, April 3, 2020: To prevent the spread of coronavirus through droplets, the Haryana government has banned the sale and use of chewing gum/bubble gum and similarl produces, packaged or unpackaged, in the interest of public health for a period of three months till June 20, in the state of Haryana.
"Covid-19 transmits through droplets. There may be a possibility of transmitting Covid-19 by spitting of chewing gum/bubble gum towards another person," the state government's Food and Drug Administration department said in the order.
The government has asked the authorities to effectively implement the ban orders.
