Ferozepur: 38 people including two shopkeepers booked for violating curfew
Ferozepur, April 3, 2020: The police have booked 38 people including two shopkeepers for violating the curfew orders as they were roaming without valid pass or permission to open the shop.
The curfew period to combat the spread of coronavirus has been extended up to April 14 and movement without permission in specific cases or in emergent cases has been banned.
Giving the details, SSP said, the people booked at different police stations are 9 at Lakho Ke Behram, Makhu 6, Mamdot 1, Ghall Khurd 5, Mallanwala 3, Talwandi 4, Guruharsahai 2, Ferozepur 3, Sadar Ferozepur 3 and two karyana shopkeepers at Ferozepur Cantt under Section 341, 199, 506 and 34 of IPC.
However, they are reported to have been released on bail and a warning to remain at home during the lockdown period.
SSP Bhupinder Singh appealed to the people to stay home during the curfew period to win over the situatation to curb the spread of virus.
