MD, HPHC K.K. Mishra, IPS distributing dry ration and essential items among labourers at Panchkula
Chandigarh/Panchkula, April 8, 2020: Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation Sh. K.K. Mishra, IPS today distributed dry ration and essential items among 255 families at various construction sites of the Corporation in district Panchkula.
Sh. Mishra informed that the HPHC has took a humane decision to feed these families as several poor and needy people are unable to earn income during the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
“As a relief measure, the Corporation has come forward for the safety and well-being of construction and migrant labourers. The same will be provided by the HPHC at all construction sites being managed by the Corporation out of its Welfare Funds, he added.”
Sh. Mishra, along with the other officers of the Corporation has distributed 255 grocery items containing Atta, Dal, Rice, Sugar mustard oil, haldi, salt, tea powder, soap etc. among construction workers of NIFT, Sector-23, DIAL-100 building, Sector-3 and Head Office Building of UHBVN, Sector-14 Panchkula.
He also urged upon the people especially the construction and migrant labourers to follow the lockdown norms by staying at their places and also assured them that they will be supplied with sufficient food and other essentials.
Chief Engineer of HPHC Mr Sanjay Mahajan, Superintending Engineer Mr Sandeep Arora and other officers were also present on this occasion.
