Requests Sonia Gandhi to Reconstitute PPCC
Request CM to have VC with senior Leaders
Chandigarh, April 11, 2020: Veteran Trade Unionist M.M. Singh Cheema former Permanent Invitee Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Member AICC has welcomed the decision of Countrywide lockdown and its possible extension in view of the COVID-19 pandemic he has requested the Prime Minister of India Sh.Narinder Modi to come up with a firm plan and share the vision of tackling this difficult situation with a concrete exit route strategy to help the Common Man particularly the Poor farmers and the landless labour and millions of working class and daily wagers in unorganized sector who are suffering the most due to the ongoing lockdown and in the curfew in many States.
Mr Cheema said country is passing through most difficult time and the only ray of hope is the Government establishment which is supposed to provide the helping hand and do the handholding to tide over this crises and at this stage a credible solution by National Leadership is the need of the hour and the knee jerk reactions and grossly unplanned steps will doom the economy and will lead to loss of face of the government.
Mr. Cheema appreciated the wakeup call given by the All India Congress Committee President Smt. Sonia Gandhi to every Congressman to keep an eye on the proper implementation of Govt. welfare schemes and help the needy in whatever possible way while observing the guidelines of prevention of COVID-19.
Mr.Cheema stated The great Congress Party is known for standing by the masses during every hour of difficulty and has allways emerged as always a victorious while teaming with aspiration of common man starting from Indian freedom struggle to taking head on the natural calamities.
Mr. Cheema appealed to Smt. Sonia Gandhi President AICC to rejuvenate the Congress Party in the state where the Entire Executive have been dissolved along with the Block, District and State Office Bearer, as per the reports available in the public domain regarding the extension of lockdown for next two months and extension of curfew till 30th April It is high time to do the reorganization for handholding the needy.
Mr. Cheema further requested Captain Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister Punjab to hold a video conference with the senior leaders of the party for boosting their morale to approach the last man in the household and keeping their morale high by leading from the front as his initiative of doing the lockdown after Kerala and subsequently imposing the curfew in the State was the first one in the country which lead to National Lockdown by PM.
