Chandigarh, May 23 (babushahi.com bureau): The Annual Plan outlay of Haryana has touched to a new high of Rs 27,072 crore for 2013-14 as compared to Rs 16125 crore of Punjab.
It was merely Rs 3,000 crore in 2005-06, thus representing an increase of more than 900 times during the last eight years in Haryana.
In 2005, the Annual Plan outlay of Punjab was more than Haryana which was Rs 3,550 crore as compared to Rs 3,000 allotted to Haryana at that time.
Stating this today, Member of Parliament, Deepender Singh Hooda said that according to the report released by the Planning Commission, Haryana has the highest per capita expenditure in Plan budget at Rs 10,027 for 2012-13, while Punjab has per capita expenditure of Rs 4,099 and Gujarat Rs 8,300 for the same period.
Congratulating the hardworking people of the state forthis significant achievement, the young MP said that Haryana had carved a niche for itself in the present decade in terms ofdevelopment. The state has done exemplary work in different fields during the last eight years.
Deepender Hooda said that when the NDA Government was formed at the Centre and INLD in the state in 1999, the Annual Plan outlay of Haryana was Rs 2,150 crore and Rs 3,021 crore in Punjab. This amount during the INLD regime in 2005 was Rs 3,000 crore in Haryana and Rs 3,550 crore for Punjab. Now, the Annual Plan outlay of Haryana has reached to Rs.27072 crore during last eight years whereas the same has reached to Rs 16125 crore in Punjab for 2013-14.
During the INLD regime in 2000-01, the per capita expenditure of planned outlay in Haryana was Rs 930 Rs 1530 in Gujarat and Rs 1010 in Punjab. The same was Rs 2270, Rs 1540 and Rs 1430 in Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana in 2006-07. After formation of the Congress Government at the centre and state, the per capita expenditure of its plan budget in year 2012-13 reached to Rs 10,027 in Haryana, Rs 8,300 in Gujarat and Rs.4099 in Punjab.
Referring to the data comparison of NDA and UPAGovernments, Hooda said that the UPA Government was marching ahead with a vision of development and has taken it as a mission to serve the masses during the last nine years. Under the able guidance of the UPA Chairperson, Mr Sonia Gandhi, and leadership of the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, the country had significantly progressed despite the economic slowdown. Similarly, Haryana Government had eliminated terror and corruption and created education and employment opportunities for the youth, the MP added.
