Attempt to boost Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

Chandigarh, February 17, 2016: In an attempt to boost Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, besides ensuring the implementation of various schemes of the Union Government, the Ministry of Ministry of Micro and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in coordination with Northern States and Union Territory will organizing one day conclave here at Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) on February 19. A spokesman of the Ministry said that during this conclave, Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana, Ministers for MSME of participating States/Union Territory, Secretary (MSME), AS&DC (MSME) union government, Principal Secretary and Commissioner/Director of Industries of the participating states would interact to present their view points for the effective implementation of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). He further informed that during afternoon session, the Minister (MSME), Secretary (MSME), AS&DC (MSME) would meet head of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) located/working in these States to review the progress and compliance of Public Procurement Policy of Union Ministry of MSME. --(BB)
