HSGA enters into agreement with SOS Children’s Village Rajpura to support young children
Rajpura, August 24, 2020: At SOS Children’s Village, holistic development of children and youth is the main objective. Aligning with the same, today, SOS Children’s Village Rajpura developed an agreement with Hindustan Scouts and Guides Association (HSGA), Punjab" for setting up a unit exclusively for our children in SOS Rajpura. Hindustan Scout &Guides aims to support young children in their physical, mental and spiritual development, so that they may play constructive roles in society.
Both the parties came to an agreement in presence of Dr. Sanjeev Singh (Village Director – SOS Rajpura) with his team and Mr. Narinder Saini (Chairman – HSGA) Mr. Gulshan Kumar (Project Head-cum-secretary, HSGA) and Mr. OmkarWadhawan (SOC – HSGA).
Speaking about the SOS Village, Dr.Sanjeev Singh said, SOS was established in 1964, SOS India is a non-government, non-profit, voluntary childcare organization. It has since been involved in providing parentless and abandoned children a ‘family-like’ environment which includes a mother, brothers and sisters, a loving home and a community. The aim of the SOS India is to build families for these children so that they grow up with love, respect and security.
SOS Children’s Village Rajpura became operational in 1996. What we provide to our children in Rajpura Village is a congenial environment where children grow up feeling loved, valued and nurtured to their full potential.
