Nawanshahr, June 29, 2016: The non-teaching employees working under Sarv Sikhya Abhiyan and Rashtriya Madhayamik Sikhiya Abhiyan in the state are going to intensify their struggle. The employees, who have been struggling for regularisation of their services for the past so many months, now have decided to register their protest in a noble way.
The Union has got prepared Cloth Made Carry Bags having inscribed their demands. The Union activists would distribute Carry Bags to people at busy public places on June 30. Besides exposing the government, the protest would help in spreading the message to use cloth made carry bags instead of plastic bags.
District president of the SSA/RMSA Non-teaching Employees Union, Punjab, Balwinder Singh Torowal informed that the Union would now register protest over non-regularisation of their services by distributing carry bags instead of pamphlets from June 21 to 25 across Punjab. These carry bags would “carry” the dilly-dallying attitude and anti-employees decisions of Badal government with regard to their demands.
The Union leader lamented that despite assurance given by the government nearly two months back that a notification for regularisation of their services would be issued soon, no action has so far been initiated in the matter till date.
He added that the Union activists will distribute nearly 50,000 cloth carry bags carrying its grudges against the state government and an appeal to it to regularize their services. In case, no action is taken by the Education Department for issuance of notification, a state level rally will be organized on July 6 at Mohali, he added.
