CPS, Chaudhary Nand Lal and DC, Vipul Ujwal kick starting laying of sewer pipelines at Balachaur.
Nawanshahr, July 25, 2016: Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Chaudhary Nand Lal, today, kick started the project of laying of sewerage pipe line at Balachaur. Speaking on the occasion, Nand Lal said that the SAD-BJP government was committed to provide basic civic amenities to the residents of Balachaur. In the first phase, a sum of Rs. 8.08 crore would be spent on laying 15 km. long main sewer pipeline as well as setting up of Pump House having capacity of 14 million letres of water per day. " The Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal and the Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal have taken keen interest in ensuring basic civic amenities for Balachaur residents. The total cost of the project is Rs. 40 crore. After completion of the first phase of laying the main sewer pipeline, a sum of Rs. 10.86 crore would be spent on Sewer Treatment plant and laying branch pipelines. The project is expected to be completed by December this year", said Nand Lal.
Deputy Commissioner, Vipul Ujwal, while addressing the gathering said that the government was committed to provide basic civic amenities as well as hassle free delivery of public utility services. The " Sewa Kendra" set up for providing hassle free delivery of various public utility services at the door step of the people, would be made operational on July 29.
Executive Engineer, Punjab Water supply and Sewrage Board, Ashish Rai, SDM, Jagjit Singh, Executive Officer, Sarbjit Singh, MC Chief, Randeep Kaushal, DDPO, Gurnetar Singh, BDPO, Satish Kumar Sharma, among others, were present on the occasion.
