Bathinda, September 25, 2016: The Punjab Government is going to host fifth National Seminar to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Rattan Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 7 October, which will be held in Bathinda.
Stating this here Chairman Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes Rajesh Bagha and Former MLA and Coordinator of National Seminars Iqbal Singh Atwal informed that the seminar will be hosted on the subject 'Babasaheb's vision of Education', in which intellectuals from different states and universities will put the light on various aspects of life of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Bagha said that the main objectives of the seminar are to deliberate upon philosophy and ideas of Dr Ambedkar on his vision of education and evaluate the scenario of education. Mr. Bagha said that during this one day seminar two sessions including Inaugural and academic sessions will take place. He informed that earlier four sessions had been organized in Chandigarh, Patiala, Jalandhar and Amritsar.
Coordinator of these seminars former MLA Mr. Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal informed that the sixth and last seminar of series will be conducted in Punjab Technical University. Atwal also said that Punjab was a leading state in taking unique welfare initiatives besides implementing scores of welfare schemes at ground level.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Chairman Improvement Trust Dyal Dass Sodhi, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Basant Garg and senior officer of various departments also present.
