Ferozepur, September 25, 2016: Soon after the attack in Uri Sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Indian Army Camp by the terrorists, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has tightened the security checks at the railway stations.
Giving this information, Sukhjinder Singh, RPF Post Commander informed that after the Uri Sector attack, the security at the railway stations has been intensified 24x7 hours.
He further informed that checking is being carried at the railway stations and public places also besides special check over the passengers and luggage of boarding and alighting trains were frisked. Even the passengers in the waiting halls are also checked.
He said, instructions have passed on to all the railway employees and vendors to immediately inform the RPF in case of any suspicious nature object is noticed or any unclaimed luggage to avoid any untoward incident.
Besides the public announcement system is also being made from time to time to inform passengers to remain alert and immediately alert the police if they find anything suspicious, he added.
