Ludhiana, May 26, 2016: "Total 24 Trusts/Societies have applied for the approval of new Colleges under Punjabi University, Patiala for the academic session 2016-17 out of which only 5 Trusts/Societies have fulfilled the requirements as per the norms of the University. Other 19 Trusts/Societies who haven’t fulfilled Government/University norms would not be [permitted to start their new colleges from 2016-17"
This was said by Dean, Punjabi University, Patiala, Sh. Kulbir Singh Dhillon during the media interaction while inaugurating 35th Aryans Job Fest at Aryans Group of Colleges today. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group was also present on the occasion.
Dr. Dhillon further said that colleges have to fulfill all the norms regarding land, Building, change of Land use, Building Plan faculty, library etc. Any college who do not fulfill 100% of the conditions would not be considered for approval in the year 2016-17
On the other hand around 28 companies from various sectors visited Aryans 35th Job Fest for the recruitment drive in which more than 1200 students from tricity, Punjab and other parts of North India participated and around 236 candidates got shortlisted in the Fest.
Heavy rush was witnessed in the companies like DSC- Sicochem Pvt Ltd offering 5 lakh. Companies including Gurudev Group of services Pvt Ltd, Axtria Infratech Pvt Ltd, Vismaad Labs, ITM-Edutech Training Pvt Ltd, Luminous, Diya Gas also attracted the crowd towards themselves.
Registrar, Aryans Group, Prof B.S Sidhu said that India has the largest population of youth in the world with about 66% of the population under the age of 35. This year the numbers of vacancies and packages have improved from previous years. He further urged the candidates to compete and make proper use of their skills to grab these opportunities.
