Lehra Mohabbat (BTI), March, 28, 2017 : A one-day seminar on Occupational Health & safety was organized by Directorate of Factories in collaboration with Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh at Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant, Lehra Mohabbat.
The training program was inaugurated by Er. Sahil Goyal, Asstt. Director of Factories, Labour Deptt., Bathinda & Er. S.K. Puri General Manager/ O&M GHTP, Lehra Mohabbat.
In the inaugural speech, Er. Sahil Goyal highlighted the need of such training programmmes to equip the workers with safety & health fundamentals.
He informed that the majority of the accidents occur due to human errors; so the rules and regulations should be followed honestly and strictly to minimize the accidents in the factories.
In this training program, various lectures regarding health, safety and first aid were given by renowned faculties. First lecture was given by Dr. Sushil Kotru, Consultant & Head of Max Endocrine, Diabetes & Obesity Care Centre, Max Healthcare, Bathinda & Dr. Isha Puri who delivered lecture on healthy diet. The second lecture was given by Er. Amit Kabra, Associate Manager on Safety in Thermal Plants.
Last Lecture was given by Sh. Vijay Kumar Sharma on first aid. In the concluding session, certificates were distributed to the participating workers by Er. S.K. Puri, Er. Sahil Goyal and Er. D. P. Garg, Superintending Engineer. Er. Puri thanked the Directorate of Factories, Punjab Industrial Safety Council and Sh. Sahil Goyal, Asstt. Director of Factories for organizing this training program.
