Fatehgarh Sahib, April 26, 2017: The Styate Govt.will honour all those NRIs, who will carry out development projects in their native villages as wekll as help in generating employment by setting up projects in the State, said Sadhu Singh Dharmsot Minister for Forest, while addressing the gathering at village Dulwan in the district after inaugurating the new dispensary set up by NRI Gurjit Singh in memory of his father and free medical check up camp.
Expressing great concern about the increasing level of pollution, he said that it has reached at its peak point and if we did not take the appropriate steps immediately our coming generations had to suffer. He said that God has made human being as the most intelligent among the other creation, but unfortunately Man has started polluting the Natural resources and has become a sign of danger for other creations of God. He said that due to the large scale felling of tree ecological imbalance has been created and whenever anyone disrupts the Nature, he had to suffer. He said that there is only one way to save from pollution that is to plant trees.
Appreciating the efforts and steps taken by State Govt. to save Air, water and earth. He said Govt. has decided to cover 15% of the land under forest area. He called upon the industrialists, farmers and common man to wage a war against menace of pollution. Govt. will give free plants to be planted in educational, religious, social and other institutions.
