Amritsar, May 24, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha on Wednesday ordered separate queue for octagenarian in the district Amritsar for the ease of elderly people visiting the government offices.
Sangha also directed to make additional arrangements of beds for the treatment of seniors in government hospitals. He said that our octagenarian are ours and cared for them where there is a moral obligation of the offspring, they are also legally bound to care for the elderly. He said that the octagenarian should not face any problems related to their healthcare and their property in the district.
Taking serious lust for the domestic workers from providing information to the police, Sangha said that it is the issue of security of all of us that we know about the background of the working employee at home. He also directed to design a new app for collecting data about this, so that people can share this information with the police.
He also directed the Police Department to send monthly report of crimes against senior citizens and also to authorize every officer at the police station to check with impartiality with the elders without any discrimination.
