Ferozepur, August 8, 2017: Senior Citizen Forum celebrated Senior Citizens Day at Mother Teresa Shanti Bhawan by donating clothes, useable items, sweets etc. for the patients who are suffering from tuberculosis and are under treatment. Mother Teresa is an old institute of the city, looking after the poor persons who cannot afford their treatment.
Kulbhushan Gautam, President, Vinod Goyal, General Secretary said, the members of Senior Citizen Forum are working for the welfare of their society and helping the needy class from their voluntarily contributions. The young generation should learn from their experiences to be successful in their life.
Speaking on the occasion, Gautam said, every year, Senior Citizen Day is celebrated on August 8 in our country to create awareness among the young generation with an advice to pay back the debt of parents, who looked after them right from birth to their marriage but are being denied in their old age when they are without gold. They are being sent to the old age homes.
He said, it is the right time to realize their responsibility not to discourage them by ignoring in this age and spend maximum time with them.
Members of SCF wished the patients a speedy recovery and assured them any kind of help in future also.
