Upgraded kitchen inaugurated at Faridkot Medical College and Hospital

Faridkot, August 10, 2017: Dr Raj Bahadur, Vice-Chancellor, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot inaugurated the recently upgraded and renovated kitchen at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital.
The kitchen being run by the hospital’s Dietetics Department has got new cooking machine (Boiler), utensils, water purifier and other provisions. The renovation was done with the help of NGOs which donated newer cooking machines and provided financial support.
The new look kitchen is expected to provide better quality and nutritious diet to the poor patients and other needy persons at the hospital. The renovation and upgradation was done with support of Baba Arjan Singhof village Doudhar in the sweet memory of Param Sant Ram Singh Ji Giarvyn wale. In addition to the renovation, this religious body will give regular financial support every month for providing free diet to poor patients.
The Vice-Chancellor said on the occasion that being a government hospital, it was not always possible to provide free diet to a large number of poor and sick patients with limited resources. The purpose can be better served with the community’s help, he said while acknowledging the support of NGOs in this noble cause.
Among other present included Dr SP Singh, Registrar BFUHS, Dr Deepak John Bhatti, Principal GGSMC, Dr Rajiv Joshi Medical Superintendent, Dr Gurmit Kaur Sethi, Dr. BK Brar, Dr Ravinder Garg, Dr NR Gupta, Dr Simmi Aggarwal, Dr Raj Kumar, Dr Naveenta Gupta, Dr. Gurbax Singh, Dr. Gaganpreet Singh, Sita Ram Goel, Er Raj Kumar Aggarwal, Dieticians Parkash Kaur, Gurinder Kaur, Jasbir Singh and members of the NGO Parveen Kala, Ashok Jain and Ashok Sachar.
