Ferozepur, August 14, 2017: The Punjab Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) Karmachari Union is up in arms against the state government for revival of old pension scheme by scrapping the new one introduced for the employees after 1.1.2004, so that retired employees could get better benefits.
Speaking to the media persons Karamjit Sharma, District President said the new team will be formed in a meeting on August 16 and appealed to the employees to participate in the meeting.
The Union leaders said, the implementation of new pension scheme on the employees recruited after 1.1.2004 is one of the anti-employees policies of the government and the future of employees is in dark as post retirement life is not secured.
They said, the union will shortly organize a massive rally to lodge protest with the government.
President said, Sing long they were holding protests in a peaceful manner requesting the government to revive the old pension scheme. The union had been demanding a time from the Chief Minister but no meeting could be held to provide respite to them when they have every pensionary benefits on extending the services all through services in a diligent manner.
