Jalandhar, August 19, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today announced a facelift of the Red Cross School for Deaf being run in the city by district administration, within two months.
The Deputy Commissioner, who specially went to meet the students of this school and felicitate those students who have participated in this year's Independence Day programme, said that the school was serving the humanity with true zeal by shaping the destiny of these students. He said that the district administration would make all out efforts to update this school by pumping in the necessary resources. Mr. Sharma also said that the required resources would be made available by streamlining the flow of funds to emerge this school as a world class institution.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the new dresses, books and required furniture for the school would be soon provided to students in the school. He also said that the teachers of Art & Craft and other streams would also be employed in the institute for encouraging students to participate in recreational activities so as to give a boost to the development of their personality. Mr. Sharma said district administration would make strenuous efforts to help these specially able students to excel in future so that they could live life with dignity and pride.
On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner also felicitated the students who participated in cultural events during the Independence Day celebrations. He also presented school bags and stationery to 83 students of the school.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Father Thomas of Jalandhar Diacosis and Principal of School Mr PN Sharma.
