Ferozepur, September 20, 2017: The official record stolen from ‘Patwarkhana’ located in Patwari Ramesh Dhingra Tehsil of Attari Circle on Tuesday was found from rag picker when he had gone to sell to the local Junk Dealer.
As per the information, the entire record of patwarkhana stands digitized but there are no such orders to weed it out as per the instructions on the subject and as such the old record is an important document.
Working as a rag picker near the industrial office of Mallwal Road, Suresh Kumar himself gave the information to the Patwaris, after which the Sadar police has taken the two stolen bundles of official records in their custody.
Earlier the instructions have been given to the local scrap dealers not to accept any junk item without the identification of the person through Aadhar Card.
On the evening of September 18, around 8 pm, a person came to sell bundles of waste papers to Suresh Kumar. He took his Aadhar card and purchased this waste for Rs 800. Suresh could not check this trash at that time. The person who came to sell told Suresh that earlier he wanted to burn waste papers but later decided to sell it.
The person as per the Aadhar card has been identified as Surjit Singh son Harbans Singh resident Khosa Dal Singh wala.
Added here that this official record were found in debris of land behind the Patwarkhana. The Patwaris had yesterday appealed to all the rag picker by giving them their contact number to inform them about such papers. When Suresh opened the trash sacks in the morning and found that there was a record of revenue department, he immediately informed the Patwari who took possession of all records by bringing police on the spot.
