Chandigarh, October 21, 2017: Hostels equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and the athletic synthetic track will be constructed in all 22 districts of Haryana. The Chief Minister, Manohar Lal and Sports Minister Anil Vij have accorded approval for the same.
This was disclosed by Director, Sports Jagdeep Singh Sheroan while addressing the gathering after inaugurating State-level basketball championship organized under Khel Mahakumbh at Hisar today.
He said that while athletic synthetic tracks would be laid at a cost of Rs11 crore, Rs three crore would be incurred on construction of hostels equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in each district.
The efforts which the present state government had made in the past three years to enhance sports facilities and to build world-class players have not been made by any government during the last 47 years. In the next two years, we will see tremendous results of the state government's sports policy, he added.
