Fatehgarh Sahib, February 13, 2018: Prime Minister Employment and self employment scheme is proving a boon for the unemployed, as large number of unemployed are coming forward for self employment. The district Industrial center and Khadi Board has selected 41 unemployed from the district to start their own venture and the Govt. will provide them loan worth Rs.2.2 Crore, said Hardial Singh Chatha Additional Deputy Commissioner after presiding over the meeting of district task force constituted to select the unemployed youths, who want to start their own projects.
He said that the commissioning of these projects will generate employment to approximately 220 unemployed youths. He said besides this Khadi board will provide subsidy to the tune of Rs.67.5 Lakh to these self employed youths. He directed the district officials to create awareness among the youths about the various self employed schemes, so that youths may start their own venture. He directed the banks to put banners and sign boards highlighting the schemes and about the loans and subsidy being provided under these schemes.
